Glynneath Town Council is providing a skip for use by residents on Saturday 16th January 2021. The skip will be situated in the public car park at Lancaster Close from 10:00am until 3:00pm. There will be a strict process in place for accessing and using the skip. Access to the skip is by vehicle only. All vehicles will be required to access the Car Park travelling from New Street via Heathfield Avenue. Vehicles will be stopped at the bottom of New Street by a member of the Council so that the necessary checks can be made prior to residents being allowed into the car park to access the skip. Photographic ID and address verification will be required – only residents of Glynneath, from any of the 4 wards (East, Central, West and West Central), will be allowed access. Items being disposed of will need to be declared, and this will be checked. The decision of Glyneath Town Council members on duty will be final. You will be asked to firmly close all vehicle windows so that the Council member can approach and safely make the aforementioned checks. No Commercial Vehicles will be allowed in unless it is genuine household waste that is being put into the Skip. This initiative is for Glynneath residents only and NOT Business Waste. Once you are allowed into the car park, you will be directed to a parking point adjacent to the skip and only the persons inside the vehicle will be allowed to take out and dispose items within the skip. Items that will NOT be allowed to be put into the skip include: Tyres Fridges Freezers Asbestos Knotweed Plasterboard Fluorescent Tubes CRT Monitors Paint (Empty tins will be allowed) No black bags will be allowed to be put in. We MUST see what is being disposed of. All persons in each vehicle MUST be from the same household and wear masks at all times.
